The Shining Stars

The Shining Stars acoustic session track 'The Lights Go On in Town' received over 30,000 plays in less than a week on Soundcloud, a Christmas cover of Chuck Berry's 'Run Rudolph, Run' had more than 17k plays over the festive season and single 'Glorious Mess' is possibly the only song ever to feature the word 'misconstrued'.

Fronted by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David McCarthy, The Shining Stars take a time-honoured British tradition of songwriting and come up with a 21st century take on the rock'n'roll/powerpop hybrid.

If you know how good songs like Badfinger's 'No Matter What', 'How Does It Feel?' by Slade, 'Maybe I'm Amazed' by Paul McCartney, Cheap Trick's 'I Want You To Want Me', 'What You Do To Me' by Teenage Fanclub, 'I'm Outta Time' by Oasis, Eric Clapton's 'Let It Rain', 'Ten Story Lovesong' by The Stone Roses and 'Rain' by The Beatles are then there's a [pretty good chance you'll get the idea of The Shining Stars...
